Greater Than a Healing

28 The woman replied, "Lord, even dogs eat the crumbs that children drop from the table." 29 Jesus answered, "That's true! You may go now. The demon has left your daughter." 30 When the woman got back home, she found her child lying on the bed. The demon had gone.

I so very much desire to have people experience healing from Jesus this way. There is so much pain and suffering - both in Third World and in ours. This non-Jewish woman bravely went to Jesus despite her negative status in His world - a "pagan", a non-Jew, a woman. She had to push for it, but her desire for help from Him was answered. What a joyous ending to this effort! I want others to experience this same ending. Whether it's a healing in body or mind, a freedom from pain or addiction, a recovery from sorrow or anger - Jesus can do this for each person. Yet, He wants something more than that - He wants them - He wants me - at His feet to acknowledge need and interest in His action. Some receive healing without this, but those who receive healing through this channel gain so very much more.

Lord - I place myself at Your Feet, declare my need, desire Your Action. I wish to bring others I care about with me, and to invite those I do not yet now to seek Your Action in their lives. Heal us, Call us, Receive all.
