Mountain Moving Faith

Mark 11 (click to read)

22 Jesus told his disciples: Have faith in God! 23 If you have faith in God and don't doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will. 24 Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if you only have faith.
25-26 Whenever you stand up to pray, you must forgive what others have done to you. Then your Father in heaven will forgive your sins.

I can certainly work at the second paragraph. I truly want to forgive so I follow Jesus - not just so I am forgiven, but because I want to become more and more like Jesus. But that first paragraph is a challenge. Now, I assume that Jesus meant that if God wanted the mountain in the sea and told me that, that my trust that God can do all would result in the mountain moving. I do trust that God can do all - but I also know God doesn't do "all" because God has specific principles and (likely) "projects" in view. So the real issue is "what does God want done" and "what has God told me." The addition of "in prayer" is important for me, because this communication activity always includes "your will be done" and "in Jesus' name" at least in principle, if not actual. So I know a lot that God wants done from the Word and from the Holy Spirit. My goal: keep praying and asking for the things God wants done - both around me and far from me. Then do what I know God wants me to do. So at this moment, I offer up two of those: the restoration of Haiti (after two years of not much happening) and the development of a strong young adult faith group. Lord - move mountains please as these are in Your Will.

Lord - Help me to continue to pray for these and other items in Your Will. And I will be careful to praise You for the results and listen to You for follow up.
